Foreign Minister Krivokapić meets Tiny Kox and Emine Dzhaparova

The day before the session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ranko Krivokapić met President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Tiny Kox and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova.

During the meeting with Kox, Krivokapić emphasised the importance of the Council of Europe, as an organisation that sets standards in the promotion and protection of human rights, democracy and the rule of law, which is of special importance in the midst of the current crisis.

Minister Krivokapić pointed out that Montenegro, as a full member of the Council of Europe and a leader in the process of EU accession negotiations, is fully committed to achieving the standards promoted by the Council of Europe.

At a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova, Minister Krivokapić reiterated Montenegro's strong support for Ukrainian independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty, adding that our country uncompromisingly joins Euro-Atlantic partners in emphasising and protecting the right of every country to choose its own security arrangements.

Speaking about Russia's aggression against Ukraine, Minister Krivokapić pointed out that Montenegro will strongly support the establishment of all relevant bodies and mechanisms necessary to bring perpetrators to justice.

Krivokapić reiterated that our country strongly sympathises with the sufferings of the Ukrainian people, as evidenced by the fact that Montenegro has already sent military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
