Gjeloshaj, Aliu: Strengthening cooperation between Montenegro and Kosovo through economic development and infrastructure enhancement

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj met today with Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kosovo Liburn Aliu.

Both officials emphasised the strong relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Kosovo, along with their active cooperation across various sectors.

Deputy Prime Minister Gjeloshaj affirmed Montenegro's commitment to fostering the best possible relations with the Republic of Kosovo, underscoring the importance of collaboration and communication in their mutual pursuit of EU membership.

He also highlighted that his work is focused on economic development, modernization, and infrastructure improvement. During their discussion, Ministers Gjeloshaj and Aliu agreed to intensify preparations for the completion of the Plav/Gusinje–Dečani road and pledged to secure additional funding for the project.

Both officials also emphasised the significance of constructing the Andrijevica–Čakor–Peć highway, recognizing it as a crucial infrastructure project that would strengthen economic ties and cooperation between Montenegro and the Republic of Kosovo.
