Minister Ibrahimović at the opening of the Albanian Consulate General in Ulcinj

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ervin Ibrahimović, attended the ceremony today marking the opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of Albania in Ulcinj.
In addition to Minister Ibrahimović, the opening ceremony featured speeches by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Igli Hasani, and the President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Genci Nimanbegu.

The speeches emphasized the importance of opening the consulate for further strengthening the friendly and good neighborly relations between Montenegro and Albania.
Minister Ibrahimović said that the historical, cultural, economic and family ties between the citizens of Montenegro and Albania represent a strong foundation for the continuation and deepening of interstate relations. "The opening of another Albanian diplomatic mission in Montenegro symbolizes the mutual commitment to further cooperation and the improvement of substantive connections. The fact that the seat of the Consulate General is in Ulcinj, a city that is an example of multiculturalism and harmonious coexistence, further confirms the strong connection between our peoples," Ibrahimović pointed out.

He reminded that the two countries have shared challenges and successes through the centuries. "And today, we not only share common values and foreign policy goals, but also actively cooperate in preserving stability and ensuring prosperity in our region," Ibrahimović said, expressing his belief that the activities of the Consulate General in Ulcinj will give additional momentum to the ties and cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Hasani expressed his satisfaction with the opening of the consulate, emphasizing that Ulcinj represents "a bridge that connects our peoples through centuries of mutual respect and coexistence."

He emphasized the joint commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous future, stating that "the opening of the consulate represents a significant step forward towards further improving bilateral cooperation," and that it will provide strong support to initiatives in numerous areas, from culture to education and the economy.
The opening ceremony conveyed that Albania and Montenegro, as neighboring countries and allies, share values and a vision of development and will, with joint forces, work on further strengthening interstate cooperation, in the spirit of good neighborliness and friendship, for the mutual benefit of the citizens of both countries.
