Minister Radulović at the meeting with Ambassador Hassanpor Baei: Improve economic cooperation between Montenegro and Iran

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović met today with Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to Montenegro, on non-resident basis, Rashid Hassanpor Baei. Minister Radulović expressed the pleasure with relations of two country, characterized by good and open communication at the institutional level. As he stated, there is significant area for upgrading the bilateral cooperation through dynamization of activities in the fields of energy, tourism, transport, science and culture as a bridge for communication of two countries.

He informed interlocutor about key foreign policy priorities of our state where EU membership remains priority. He also stressed the importance of implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action known as Iran nuclear, with deep belief that “diplomacy is always best response, having in mind that aforementioned Agreement represents topic of global security”.

Ambassador Hassanpor Baei expressed gratitude to interlocutor on reception, while stressing that IR Iran is ready to act more viable in order to empower interstate cooperation. In that regard, he agreed with Minister Radulović with statement that two countries share significant potentials for further intensification of contacts, particularly in respect to economy and culture. Ambassador Hassanpor Baei voiced belief that by strengthening legal basis and organization of bilateral visits could be realized noteworthy progress in relations. He also welcomed support of Montenegro on multilateral level, specially within system of collective security.

Interlocutors also agreed on necessity of upgrading trade between countries, as well as on opportunities for valorisation of Luka Bar in that regard, considering its favourable geographic position.
