Minister Radulović meets with Austria's Minister of Justice Zadić in Vienna

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović met with Federal Minister of Justice of the Republic of Austria Alma Zadić in Vienna. Assessing Austria's support for Montenegro's European integration as very important, he pointed out that EU membership is an absolute priority of the current Government. Minister Radulović emphasised that Montenegro remains fully committed to reform activities in the area of the rule of law and the fulfillment of the provisional benchmarks in Chapters 23 and 24.

Minister Radulović stated that the fight against corruption and organised crime is one of the main goals, and that the concrete activities undertaken in that area in the past 10 months already have measurable results. In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Montenegro's commitment to the implementation of human rights policies, primarily the fight against violence against women, but also to the implementation of fundamental rights, reminding that we are the first country in the Western Balkans to adopt the Law on Same-Sex Life Partnerships.

Minister Zadić praised the activities carried out by the Government of Montenegro. She pointed out that she was satisfied with the fact that young people in executive power are making efforts to face the past and to work diligently in the fight against corruption and organised crime. In the context of European integration, Minister Zadić congratulated Minister Radulović on his commitment to meeting the benchmarks for Chapters 23 and 24. She reiterated Austria's wholehearted support for the Western Balkans, especially Montenegro, stressing that the issue of accession should once again be high on the Union's agenda.
