Montenegro hosts 50th Meeting of the International Forum on Diplomatic Training
Montenegro will host the 50th Meeting of the International Forum on Diplomatic Training (IFDT), which will take place from 9 to 11 October at the Splendid Hotel in Bečići.
The official opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 9 October, starting at 9:00 a.m., with speeches by:
- Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović,
- Director of the Vienna School of International Studies and Co-Chair of IFDT Emil Brix,
- Director of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University and Co-Chair of IFDT Barbara Bodine, and
- UNDP Resident Representative in Montenegro Ekaterina Paniklova.
The IFDT is a global platform chaired by representatives of the Vienna School of International Studies and the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University. It brings together directors of diplomatic academies and related institutions from around the world. This year’s 50th edition of the IFDT will gather over 80 participants from more than 40 institutions and is organised with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Montenegro.
