Montenegro to become full member of Paris MoU on Port State Control
The delegation of the Ministry of Capital Investments, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Capital Investments Ervin Ibrahimović, is paying a working visit to Slovenia in order to sign the agreement on Montenegro's accession to the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control.
As of 1 July 2023, Montenegro will be a full member of the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control.
Deputy Prime Minister Ervin Ibrahimović and Secretary-General at the Secretariat of the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control Luc Smulders signed the document today in Slovenia.
Montenegro has harmonised its legal regulations, provided the necessary professional staff and thus created conditions for the application of the Paris Memorandum in Montenegro, Ibrahimović said.
DPM Ibrahimović stressed that this is a remarkable success for Montenegro, adding that it represents the fulfillment of one of the key obligations related to the Chapter 14 – Transport policy.
