Montenegro to host Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction

From 6 to 8 November 2024, Montenegro will host the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Budva, gathering representatives from 55 countries across Europe and Central Asia.

This major intergovernmental forum will address regional challenges in disaster risk reduction and is being organised in collaboration with the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the European Commission, the Council of Europe and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The platform will feature high-level discussions, including a ministerial roundtable hosted by Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović. It will focus on proactive risk management and building resilience to disasters worsened by climate change.
