M.Sc. Simonida Kordić has built an impressive career in the public sector, with extensive experience in international cooperation, parliamentary politics, and the media.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade, specializing in international public law.
She later continued her education in the United Kingdom, where she completed her MBA at the University of Sheffield.
In July 2024, she was appointed Minister of Tourism in the Government of Montenegro. Prior to that, she served as a Member of Parliament in the Montenegrin Assembly, where she also held the position of Chair of the Constitutional Committee.
Additionally, she was Co-Chair of the Women’s Club in the Montenegrin Assembly, a member of the delegations to the NATO and OSCE Parliamentary Assemblies, and Chair of the Parliamentary Group of the Francophonie.
Her career in public administration began in Herceg Novi, where she worked as an advisor for cooperation with international organizations.
Subsequently, she was appointed Head of the Department for International Cooperation, further developing her expertise in international relations and diplomacy.
Before entering public administration, she worked as a journalist, author, and editor for the most influential media outlets in the country.
She is fluent in English and French and has an intermediate proficiency in Chinese (HSK3).
