PM Krivokapić meets with EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso in London
Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić met today with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso within the Western Balkans Investment Summit, organised by the EBRD in London.
The focus of the talks between Prime Minister Krivokapić and EBRD President Renaud-Basso were strategic investment projects in the areas of sustainable energy sources, wastewater treatment plants, the establishment of a credit guarantee fund, as well as strengthening the potential of the private sector.
Prime Minister Krivokapić said that he was especially pleased with the intensive communication between Montenegro and the EBRD, which confirms our country's commitment to joint projects.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the continued support of the EBRD for the motorway project will create a motorway connection between Central Europe and the Montenegrin coast, which is especially important in the context of valorizing the potential of the Port of Bar.
EBRD President Renaud-Basso expressed satisfaction with the results of cooperation between Montenegro and the EBRD in 2021 and pointed out that she expects successful cooperation in the implementation of joint projects this year as well.
The Prime Minister also pointed out the importance of the updated list of key projects, which was updated after 6 years. Montenegro's hydropower potentials are significant in order to replace the part of energy that is currently supplied by the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant, which is in line with the EBRD's priorities in the energy transition process.
