PM Krivokapić meets with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement
Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić met today with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, within the Western Balkans Investment Summit.
Prime Minister Krivokapić thanked Commissioner Várhelyi for his positive attitude towards the Western Balkans and its integration perspective.
Prime Minister Krivokapić pointed out that the caretaker government is dedicated to the European and Euro-Atlantic path of the country.
He expressed satisfaction that today's summit provided an opportunity to present the results that Montenegro has achieved in the previous period.
Our intention is to turn the interim benchmarks for Chapters 23 and 24 into the final ones by the end of the French presidency, the Prime Minister concluded.
Commissioner Várhelyi pointed out that the implementation of reforms remains a priority for Brussels, emphasising that progress in the rule of law determines the overall progress in European integration.
He said he appreciated what the Montenegrin Government was doing during this transition period, stressing the importance of a European perspective for the entire region.
