PM Krivokapić - PMQs: If we want to truly reconcile once and for all, we must forget who voted for or against in 2006
"The highest coronavirus peak was recorded at the end of October. Did this Government lead the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases? Who did, what did they do? At that time, none of us had access to anything, not even to the bank accounts of the National Coordination Body, even to this day," said Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić during the Prime Minister's Questions, answering a question from Ivan Brajović from the MP Club of Social Democrats of Montenegro.
Prime Minister Krivokapić said that certain experts, together with the President of Montenegro, recommended that Montenegro should impose lockdown. "You know what is the result of Montenegroʹs lockdown during the past period - a phenomenal situation in four weeks, and then the explosion and destruction of the tourism economy with a deficit of 500 million euros. We did not do that," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister said that on 4 December, there were 11 thousand infected.
"At that time, they said that Montenegro was stable, and now you accuse us that we cannot manage the situation. At that time, you were looking to appoint yourselves to certain positions. Both the Prime Minister and every citizen who does not respect the measures are to blame for this behaviour. The belief you propagate did not contributed to this situation, and you always attack the church. Beware of that. Anyone who attacks the church endures consequences. Don't even mention it, it will be easier for you. But to mention Stathis who has generously emerged as your way of solving the problem in Montenegro, you know very well that the Government has adopted decision that it can only take vaccines from the government of another country or directly from the manufacturer. Why didn't that vaccine go directly as donations from the UAE Government? Why are you defending him? What did he do well for Montenegro? He destroyed Sveti Stefan. They are your friends, "said Prime Minister Krivokapic.
Krivokapić asked if the divisions in Montenegro had occurred in these 6 months, or if someone had deliberately projected them.
"There have always been divisions, because divisions are the best way to govern from Rome to the present day. If we really want to reconcile once and for all, we must forget who is a chetnik, who is a partisan, who voted for or against in 2006," said Prime Minister Krivokapić.
