PM Krivokapić - PMQs: Vukšić will take all measures to see who failed when it comes to violation of Law on Classified Information
Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić said that the criterion of any good functioning is responsibility.
"There is Article 57 of the law that you quoted, which states that the person to whom the information was submitted is obliged to inform the National Security Agency that an omission has been made. I am not a man who has a security culture and any omission can happen to me. But it is you who should show that security culture in the best possible way. I say that because you have a huge experience in it, you are even educated for it. You were at the appropriate trainings, you were also a member of the security committee," said Krivokapić, answering a question from MP Raško Konjević from the MP Group Social Democratic Party of Montenegro - Albanian Coalition "Unanimously"."
Prime Minister Krivokapić said that Dejan Vukšić does not belong to any party.
"Just like me, he led the coalition at the local level. I don't know what is happening to us - you are trying to turn every mistake of this Government into a political point and to provoke a disagreement between us and the international community. Was I informed by any NATO member on Thursday? I responsibly claim that I was not and you have to tell me from which member, when and how did you get it!? Do you know that I spent whole day on Thursday in the Government, we had the Cabinet session and the committee regarding the COVID-19 situation. I came home late in the evening; I don't carry my phone with me. Nobody contacted my Office or me personally. Please, in the future, if you are interested in any accurate information, before you launch it in the media, check it with me," said the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Krivokapić pointed out that this is an attempt to declare the National Security Agency Director incompetent, and thus the Prime Minister who appointed him.
"There is no service in the world that has not made an oversight. There is no one who has not made a mistake in their life. The worst thing that can happen is that we have brought this to the level of an international incident. I want us to jointly defend the security of Montenegro. Why is Vukšić a problem? Because he very conscientiously and responsibly tore off certain tentacles that were present in the National Security Agency? Why is Dejan Vukšić a problem? He told me clearly - you forward a signed document submitted by a certain group of people. That is a story that should warn us all," Krivokapić said.
The Prime Minister said that he was sure that Mr. Vukšić would take all measures to see who had failed when it comes to the violation of the Law on Classified Information.
"Who didn't do it right, if that happened? Let's see if someone, regardless of being an MP, participated in that process or not. If it is such a mistake, as you present it, let us first determine the responsibility, and then talk about the consequences. You hypothetically ask me a question, so that I can answer you hypothetically. Let us respect the presumption of innocence. Let's leave it to the prosecutor's office and the internal procedure within the National Security Agency to find out what is true," concluded the Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić.
