Prime Minister’s Office: Former President’s statement underscores the need to strengthen Montenegro–UAE cooperation

Although the Prime Minister’s statement was not intended to intervene in private matters, we thank Mr. Đukanović for his clarification, which only reaffirms the importance of maintaining strong relations with the United Arab Emirates as a strategic partner of our country, the Prime Minister’s Office stated in response to today’s remarks by former President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, regarding Prime Minister Milojko Spajić’s interview for RTCG.

The Prime Minister’s Office also noted that, following a period of stagnation and the failure to officially honor the late President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi at the state level in 2022, the foundations for intensified cooperation have been reestablished through a new bilateral agreement between Montenegro and the UAE, to the mutual satisfaction of both countries.
