Spajić: No increase in electricity bills in any form from January 2025
Following the decision by the Energy Regulatory Agency to increase network charges, which would have led to higher electricity bills starting in January 2025, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić held a meeting today with Minister of Energy Saša Mujović, CEDIS Director Vladimir Ivanović, and CGES Director Ivan Asanović.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister assured citizens that electricity bills will remain unchanged from 1 January 2025. He emphasised that while the Government respects the decision of the independent regulator and is committed to maintaining the stability of the energy sector, it has found a way to protect citizens, ensuring that they will not experience any increase in network charges on their bills in the coming year.
The Government respects the regulator's decision and maintains the stability of the energy sector, but it has found a way to protect citizens. Following EPCG's decision not to increase the price of active energy, citizens will also not feel the impact of increased network charges on their electricity bills. In summary, there will be no increase in electricity bills in any form for our citizens starting January 2025, the Prime Minister stated.
