Venice Biennale: Statement by DPM Abazović

It was a great honor and pleasure for me to be a part of this event at the invitation of the Director of the Biennale, one of the most prestigious art events in the world.

In this way, symbolically, Montenegro sent the message that it is always where the best values are promoted and where the creativity of the entire planet is really felt.

We had a great presentation. Our artists have done a great job, but I believe that in two years Montenegro will be here at the Arsenale, the place where the largest number of countries are represented.

Also today, together with the host, the Minister of Culture of Italy, and with the ministers from Spain, Slovenia, Austria, Kosovo and Albania, we visited the Ukraine Pavilion, wanting to send another message, a call for peace, wanting to express support to the Ukrainian people and to affirm the idea of a better and more just world through art and the struggle for true values.

Montenegro deserves the best, it deserves everyone to feel its cosmopolitan spirit, its pacifist vision of the world and I believe that together we will be up to the task and represent our country in the best possible way.
