Visas

Montenegrin citizens are required to obtain a visa to enter Bahrain. Visas may be obtained from the Embassy of Bahrain in Ankara, Turkey.

The visa application can be submitted electronically for stays of up to 2 weeks, one month or up to a year and is between $25 and $115.

Bilateral Relations/Diplomatic Relations Overview

Diplomatic relations between Montenegro and the Kingdom of Bahrain are developing in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect. There are opportunities for improving cooperation in the fields of economy, primarily investment and tourism.

The Kingdom of Bahrain recognized Montenegro on June 18, 2006. Diplomatic relations were established on September 25, 2009.

Montenegrin ambassadors to the UAE are also accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain on non-resident basis. Aleksandar Eraković served as Ambassador of Montenegro to the Kingdom of Bahrain on a non-resident basis in the period 2013-2015, Darko Uskoković in the period 2015-2018, while Ambassador Dušanka Jeknić was accredited in the period May 2020 - February 2021.

Economic Cooperation / International Trade

Total commodity exchange for period January -October 2021 amounted to € 2,697, € (everything refers to exports). 

Foreign direct investments: in 2020 (January - September) 90.01 thousand €; in 2019 amounted to 435.30 thousand €.
