Angola*

Holders of travel documents with a valid Schengen visa, a valid visa from the United States, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or the Republic of Ireland, as well as residence permits from those countries, may enter and stay in, or transit through, the territory of Montenegro for up to 30 days, but no longer than the expiration of their visa if the validity period is shorter than 30 days.

Visa regime

Citizens of Montenegro are required to obtain a visa in order to enter and stay in the Angolan territory. Reciprocally, the Angolan citizens must also acquire a visa prior to their sojourn in Montenegro. Issuance of visas is under the competence of the Embassy of Angola in Belgrade.

Diplomatic Relations Overview

The Republic of Angola officially recognized Montenegro on the 21st of December 2009, and the diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on the same day.

Alcino dos Prazeres Izata Francisco da Conceição assumed the duty of the non-residential Ambassador to Montenegro on the 19th of July 2021.

Possibilities for further improvement of bilateral cooperation have been identified in the field of education, predominantly by the means of student exchange.

No bilateral treaties have been signed between Montenegro and the Republic of Angola, neither the mutual trade has, so far, reached any significant level.
