Visa regime

Nationals of the Portuguese Republic may enter, cross the territory and stay in Montenegro up to 90 days without visa, with valid travel document.

Nationals of the Portuguese Republic may enter, cross the territory and stay in Montenegro up to 30 days without visa, with valid Identity Card isued by relevant authority of the Hellenic Republic.

Diplomatic Relations

Portuguese Republic recognized Montenegro's independence on 19th of June 2006, while diplomatic relations were established on 17th of may 2007.

Ambassador of Montenegro to the Portuguese Republic, based in Paris, is Ivan Ivanišević.

Until the appointment of a new ambassador, the Embassy of the Portuguese Republic in Belgrade, which covers Montenegro on a non-resident basis, currently operates at the level of Chargé d'Affaires a.i.
