Holders of travel documents with a valid Schengen visa, a valid visa from the United States, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or the Republic of Ireland, as well as residence permits from those countries, may enter and stay in, or transit through, the territory of Montenegro for up to 30 days, but no longer than the expiration of their visa if the validity period is shorter than 30 days.

Visa regime

Nationals of Singapore may enter, pass through the territory of and stay in Montenegro up to 90 days, with a valid travel document, without a visa.

Diplomatic Relations

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Montenegro and the Republic of Singapore have maintained friendly relations. Montenegro is interested in further strengthening bilateral ties with Singapore, and the full valorization of potentials in areas of mutual importance.

Singapore recognized Montenegro on June 14, 2006, and diplomatic relations were established on June 30, 2006.

Diplomatic communication is carried out through the Permanent Missions of the two countries to the United Nations (in New York). The two countries do not have a diplomatic presence at the ambassadorial level.

Political Contacts

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, paid an official visit to Singapore on May 5, 2009.

Economic Cooperation / International Trade

Foreign trade between Montenegro and the Republic of Singapore, in 2020, amounted to 1.3 million. € (of which the value of exports was only € 27,412). Direct investments from the Republic of Singapore, during 2020, amounted to € 3,752.37.

According to the data of "Monstat", the presence of tourists from Mongolia in Montenegro, in 2020, was not recorded.
