Visa regime
Nationals of Tunisia are required to obtain a visa to enter Montenegro.
Visas may be obtained from diplomatic and consular posts of Montenegro. If you are unable to reach a diplomatic or consular post of Montenegro, you may apply for a visa at the nearest diplomatic or consular post of the Republic of Serbia.

Diplomatic Relations
Altogether, relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Tunisia are considered to be friendly. Both sides work in continuity - towards the advancement of cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas.
The Republic of Tunisia officially recognized Montenegro on the 20th of June 2006, and the diplomatic relations were established on the 7th of May 2007 (by exchanging the Diplomatic Notes).
H.E. Seyf Allah Rejeb, the Ambassador of Tunisia to Montenegro, took his office on the 29th of March 2018, by presenting his credentials to the former President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović. His predecessor, Mohamed Bougamra, occupied this post from 2016, until 2018.
No ambassadors of Montenegro have, so far, been accredited to the Republic of Tunisia.
Political Contacts
No official high-level bilateral meetings have occured in the previous period, although, on several occasions, Tunisian side expressed its' readiness for their realization.
Economic Cooperation / International Trade
Economic cooperation between our two countries is mainly reduced to international trade, while the “higher“ forms of cooperation haven't so far been recorded.
Overall exchange of goods and services in 2020 (January – June) amounted to €360,144 (out of which the exports were €0, and the imports were €360,144); overall trade in 2019 totaled €992,434 (imports only); overall exchange in 2018 amounted to €1,179,567 (exports - €804€, imports €1,178,763); overall exchange in 2017 was €1,021,571 (exports - €0, imports €1,021,571); overall exchange in 2016 was €1,195,333 (exports - €0, imports €1,195,333); overall exchange in 2015 was €921,018 (exports - 812€, imports - €920,206).
Miscellaneous
In 2018, the Tunisian side delivered the Draft Programme of Cooperation Between the Government of the Republic of Tunisia and the Governement of Montenegro in the Area of Culture. Also, the Embassy of Tunisia in Belgrade delivered, in 2018, a series of the draft agreements with regards to land, air and maritime traffic, etc. Tunisia has, also, in 2020, delivered the Draft Agreement on Cooperaton in the Field of Sports. Moreover, the MOU between the two countries' Foreign Ministries was fully agreed during 2020 - pending its' signing (the same thing applies to the MOU Between the Diplomatic Academy of Montenegro and the Tunisia Diplomatic Institute for Training and Studies).
With regard to the cooperation between NATO and Tunisia, it is noteworthy that this state is a member of the Mediterranean Dialogue. Mediterranean Dialogue has the purpose of cooperation between NATO, on one side and, besides Tunisia, six more states, on the other side. The Mediterranean Dialogue was first launched in 1994, "to create good relations and better mutual understanding and confidence throughout the region, promoting regional security and stability and explaining NATO's policies and goals."
In March of 2015, H.E. Gojko Čelebić (otherwise, non-residential Ambassador of Montenegro to Egypt), took office of the Ambassador of Montenegro to the Arab League. Arab League, AL, is an international organization comprised of 22 member-states. It was formed in 1946 in Cairo, and Tunisia is one of it's members. Arab League is, besides African Union (AU) cosidered to be the most influential multilateral subject in the aforementioned part of the world. Montenegro has the status of a guest-state in AL.
