Visa regime
Nationals of the Republic of Uzbekistan are required to obtain a visa to enter Montenegro.
Visas may be obtained from diplomatic and consular posts of Montenegro.
NOTE: During the summer season, from April 1 to October 31, 2023, citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan can enter and stay in Montenegro for up to 30 days, with a valid travel document, without visas, as an organized tourist group that enters, stays and leaves the territory of Montenegro by direct charter flight, with obtained confirmation of the paid tourist arrangement, proof of a guaranteed return to the country of origin, and an invitation letter from a Montenegrin travel agency that organizes the trip (tour-operator).
Diplomatic relations
Diplomatic relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Uzbekistan were established on December 19, 2006.
Overall bilateral cooperation between Montenegro and the Republic of Uzbekistan could be rated as a friendly and very good, with effective political dialogue conducted on a regular basis. Although our relations have not been framed by official visits and bilateral agreements, the two countries dedicatedly work on their implementation, based on mutually recognized interests in many fields of cooperation.
Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Uzbekistan Milorad Šćepanović, with residence in Moscow, presented on June 29, 2022 credential letters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov, while assuming duties of the Ambassador in this country.
Economic cooperation
The volume of economic trade between Montenegro and the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022 amounted 4 hundred euros in export and 87,53 thousands euros in import. Foreign direct investments in 2022 form the Republic of Uzbekistan to Montenegro amounted 150,80 thousand euros (252,35 thousands euros in 2021).
