Diplomatic Relations

Lebanon recognized Montenegro on December 4, 2008, when diplomatic relations were established.

The Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Lebanon is Marwan Paul Kebbe.

Political Contacts

On November 2-5, 2011, the Minister of Transport and Public Works of the Lebanese Republic, Ghazi Arija, paid an official visit to Montenegro, when he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen, the Minister of Economy Vladimir Kavarić and the Minister of Transport Andrija Lompar.

Economic Cooperation / International Trade

In the period January - December 2020, trade between Montenegro and the Lebanese Republic was realized in the amount of 65.766 €, which referred exclusively to imports. In 2019, trade in the amount of 45.954 € was realized (of which exports amounted to 5.706 €, while imports amounted to 40.248 €). In 2018, trade between Montenegro and the Lebanese Republic amounted to 36.005 € (of which imports amounted to 30.549 € and exports to 5.456 €). In the period January - December 2017, trade between Montenegro and the Republic of Lebanon was realized in the amount of 86.848 €, and it referred only to imports.
