Human Resources Management Authority and the Palestinian General Personnel Council signed the Memorandum of Understanding

Director of the Human Resources Management Authority, Svetlana Vuković, and His Excellency Mousa Abu Zaid, the President of the General Personnel Council, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on 1 April 2019 in Ramallah, Palestine. The main goal of the Memorandum is to strenghten cooperation and enable sharing of experience between the two countries, especially in terms of promotion and the development of public and state administration. The cooperation will refer to the areas of human resources development for all categories of civil servants in the public sector, whereas the activities will include the organization of joint workshops, studies, researches and consulatations in the area of public and state administration. Director Svetlana Vuković thanked President Abu Zaid for his invitation, and expressed her readiness for further cooperation.

The Memorandum was signed during the First Ministerial Meeting attended by the ministers, directors and representatives of the institutions from various countries.
The meeting was organized by the General Personnel Council of Palestine which cooperated with the international organizations: UNDP, OSCE, IIAS, IASIA, LAGAPA, etc.
Minister Mousa Abu Zaid welcomed all the attendees, after which followed a video footage on the General Personnel Council of Palestine. The representatives of the international organizations had their presentations shortly thereafter.

The meeting also tackled a document/platform for future cooperation with the participants. This document included areas referring to the development of state administration, gender equality and sustainable development. All representatives of the countries had a chance to present the current situation in their countries when it comes to the state administration, and also to comment on the presented document/platform or propose other important areas to them. At the end of the meeeting, it was agreed that the document should be improved and that it was necessary to prepare the Action Plan with clear activities. In addition, all the participants backed the proposal of the host that the Second Ministerial Meeting should be held in Jordan.

Deputy Director of the Sector for Training and Human Resources Development within the Human Resouces Management Authority, Jadranka Đurković, also attended the meeting alongside Director, Svetlana Vuković.
