The conference ‘Equality at the Heart of Administration’, organized by the UNDP Office in Montenegro on 16 June 2021 at the premises of Hilton Hotel in Podgorica, gathered a range of experts who discussed previous experience and practices when it comes to gender equality, representing a backbone in the work of public administration.
The conference presented a comprehensive research on views, perceptions and practice of public administration employees, as well as the civic society and citizens, who should protect the principles of equality in their everyday work.
Ms Tamara Srzentic, the Minister of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media, Ms Daniela Gasparikova, the UNDP Permanent Representative to Montenegro and Mr Hermann Spitz, the Head of Cooperation Unit in the EU Delegation to Montenegro, opened the event.
Over the past two years, the UNDP, alongside the Human Resources Management Authority, HRMA, worked hard on the development of capacities in public administration. It carried out an accredited program for trainers and started educational programs and many other initiatives related to gender equality.
Ms Jadranka Djurkovic, Deputy Director of HRMA, received a certificate of merit for her commitment to partnership and contribution to the implementation of ToT for the accredited gender equality program in public administration, which took place from July 2019 to June 2020 in Montenegro.
