Expertise of the UK Government Communications Service – ToT in the Area of Institutional Communications
The Human Resource Management Authority, HRMA, supported by the UK Government Communications Service, GCS, organizes a two-day workshop on 21 - 22 June 2021. The target group are trainers who are to deliver the Educational program for acquiring key public communication skills.
The workshop was opened by the UK Ambassador to Montenegro, Karen Maddocks.
“The Government needs communication experts in order to develop long-term public communication campaigns, as well as spokespersons who communicate with both the public and the media, no matter whether they’re covering the communication topic of the day or are solving a crisis communication situation. As a trainer, your task will be to reinforce capabilities of every government’s employee dealing with the media. They will have to deliver clear messages on behalf of the Government, which will help citizens understand its work. They will also contribute to Montenegro’s reputation at the international level, by ensuring that it’s recognized as a safe and interesting place for visit and a place to start business. Good government communications represent a factor that contribute to social and economic stability.”
Jovana Nisavic, the Acting Director of HRMA briefly presented the Program and reflected on its implementation planned for autumn.
“Today, experts from state administration, private sector, academic community and media are here with us. They all passed a complex selection procedure and I’m sure they will respond to this challenge in the best possible way. This accredited program aims to synchronize communication activities within the Government’s bodies and provide a range of knowledge and skills that would improve both public communications and internal communication in the Government. Attendees of these trainings, delivered by selected lecturers, after completing this Program and passing the exam, acquire a key public communications skill, and our wish in future is this certificate to be a requirement for performing tasks of a PR manager or public relations advisor.”
Communications experts from the UK Government, Asana Greenstreet and Amena Al Nakib, along with the local expert, Radoje Cerovic, will deliver this training.
