24,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive in Montenegro on Sunday
The consignment of 24,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive at Podgorica Airport on Sunday morning (28 March 2021). AstraZeneca vaccines were provided by the Ministry of Health of Montenegro, within the COVAX mechanism. All vaccines procured under the COVAX mechanism are approved by the WHO, as the leading organization of the United Nations system dealing with the issue of vaccine safety.
The consignment of vaccines will be received by Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, Head of the WHO Office in Montenegro Mina Brajović, UNICEF Representative to Montenegro Juan Santander, Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Ambassador Oana Christina Popa, British Ambassador H.E. Karen Maddocks and UN Resident Coordinator in Montenegro Peter Lundberg.
Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro will provide the media with photographs and video material.
