Abazović hosts reception on the occasion of International Roma Day

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister will organise a reception on the occasion of 8 April - International Roma Day. The reception, hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, will be held tomorrow, 8 April, starting at 12:00 in the Villa "Gorica".

Dominique Waag, Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Friederike Wünschmann, Representative of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Miodrag Dragišić, Assistant Resident Representative and Social Inclusion Team Leader at the UNDP Montenegro will attend the reception, while Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights Bojan Božović, Head of Operations of the Council of Europe Programme Office in Podgorica Evgenia Giakoumopoulou, President of the Democratic Party of Roma and the Roma Council Mensur Šaljaj will address the audience.

The introductory speeches will be followed by a discussion, during which the representatives of Roma organisations will have the opportunity to open a dialogue and ask questions about the position of the Roma population in Montenegro, their inclusion, perspectives and improvement of their living conditions.

Journalists, photojournalists and cameramen can enter the Villa Gorica (until 11:45), using the 2022 accreditation card issued by the Government of Montenegro, along with ID card.
