Bečić: I strongly condemn the attack on journalist Ana Raičković from Pobjeda

Freedom of thought, expression, and speech is an inviolable right for every citizen, and especially for journalists. Arrogance, primitiveness, and violence must always be met with a swift and decisive response from the authorities.

I would like to remind that the Parliament of Montenegro, which I presided over at the time, adopted amendments to the Criminal Code of Montenegro at the end of 2021, aimed at increasing penalties for attacks on journalists.

I commend the swift actions taken by the authorities in this particular case and expect that justice will be fully realized as the process continues, with those responsible held accountable.
