Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović attends AI Action Summit in Paris
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Foreign Affairs Filip Ivanović participated in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit in Paris, France, on 10 and 11 February 2025, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
This high-profile event, held under the patronage of President Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, brought together world leaders, representatives of international organizations, scientists, industry leaders, and AI experts to discuss the future of artificial intelligence.
The summit emphasized the importance of international cooperation in establishing an open, secure, and inclusive framework for the development and implementation of AI technologies. Participants highlighted the need for collective efforts in adopting security standards and transparent procedures to ensure citizen protection and the stable growth of the digital economy.
During the summit, Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović attended a high-level dinner hosted by President Macron at the Élysée Palace, as well as the plenary session held at the Grand Palais.
Participation in this summit has strengthened Montenegro’s international cooperation and facilitated the exchange of experiences in digital transformation and AI security. Through this engagement, the Government of Montenegro reaffirmed its commitment to integrating into global initiatives focused on the safe and ethical development of emerging technologies, stated Ivanović.
On the sidelines of the event, Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović had brief meetings with:
- Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia;
- Alexander Schallenberg, Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria;
- António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations;
- Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe;
- Ian Borg, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Malta;
- Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and
- Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO.
