Premise

Government of Montenegro seeks to ensure that its services are accessible to persons with disabilities. The Government of Montenegro has made significant efforts to ensure that its portal is easier to use and more accessible to persons with disabilities, guided by the strong belief that every person has the right to live in dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Accessibility to GOV.ME.

The UserWay Accessibility Tool, which runs on a dedicated accessibility server, is available on the GOV.ME portal. This software enables the GOV.ME portal to improve compliance with web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

Launch the accessibility menu

The GOV.ME portal accessibility menu can be launched by pressing the tab key when the page is first loaded or by clicking on the accessibility menu icon that appears in the corner of the page. After launching the accessibility menu, wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load completely.

The Government of Montenegro continues to strive to continuously improve the accessibility of its portal and services, believing that it is our collective moral obligation to provide accessible and unhindered use to those with disabilities.

In a constant effort to continuously improve and resolve accessibility issues, we also regularly scan the GOV.ME portal using the UserWay accessibility scanner, as well as other tools, to identify and repair any possible accessibility barriers on our portal.

Despite the efforts to make all pages and content on the GOV.ME portal fully accessible, some content may not yet be fully compliant with the most stringent accessibility standards. The reason may also be that we have not identified the most appropriate technological solution.
