Government complies with Administrative Court Ruling: Kurti resumes mandate as general inspector of National Security Agency
In a telephone session held on 12 January 2025, the Government of Montenegro acted in accordance with the ruling of the Administrative Court of Montenegro (U. No. 5722/24, dated 21 November 2024). The Government confirmed that, effective 13 January 2025, Artan Kurti will resume his mandate as general inspector of the National Security Agency.
In this context, the Government adopted a resolution to relieve Mr. Predrag Burić of his duties as general inspector of the National Security Agency. Furthermore, the Acting Director of the National Security Agency has been instructed to ensure that the general inspector of the Agency is enabled to perform his duties in compliance with the Law on the National Security Agency, following the issuance of clearance for access to classified information.
To facilitate this process, the Government tasked the Acting Director of the National Security Agency with immediately submitting a request to the Directorate for the Protection of Classified Information for granting Artan Kurti the necessary clearance to access classified information in his capacity as general inspector of the National Security Agency.
