In his discussion with Minister Miščević, both parties agreed on the importance of EU enlargement for the Western Balkans and the Union itself.

Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović updated Minister Miščević on Montenegro's progress and its commitment to maintaining the current pace of reforms.

Given Montenegro's achievement in receiving IBAR, they concurred that exchanging experiences in European integration would benefit both regional and bilateral cooperation. They also explored potential areas for further collaboration between the two countries.

During his meeting with Mr. Markovec, Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović reiterated Montenegro's dedication to its European future, emphasising that with political stability, strong will, and support from the European Commission and EU member states, Montenegro could achieve its goals within the next three years.

Markovec noted that there is a strong will within the EU to see Montenegro join the Union as soon as possible, highlighting the country's positive progress as an encouraging sign both for the region and the EU. He acknowledged the significant challenge that adopting EU legislation poses for Montenegro's small administration, assuring that the European Commission is ready to assist in this process.
