Joković, Ozan: Further strengthening of successful cooperation between Turkey and Montenegro in the agricultural sector

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Joković met with Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Songül Ozan.

Ambassador Ozan congratulated Minister Joković on his appointment and expressed confidence that successful cooperation and relations would be further strengthened during his term of office, emphasising that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management is the priority department for cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Ambassador Ozan stressed that the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) is fully commitment to continue to support agricultural producers in Montenegro.

The meeting noted that Montenegro has a huge investment potential, and that numerous investments of Turkish investors have already been implemented, as well as that there is great interest in new investments in the field of agriculture, especially when it comes to organic production.

Minister Joković thanked for the congratulations and the support so far, adding that they will work on further strengthening of cooperation for mutual benefit and satisfaction.

The officials agreed that there is a lot of room for further improvement of relations and that in the coming period they will intensify cooperation in areas of common interest in order to invest in these sectors in Montenegro.
