Konjević meets Greek Ambassador
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Raško Konjević met with Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Montenegro Panayotis Partsos.
Konjević informed the Ambassador about the current political situation in Montenegro, emphasising that the new Government will strive to unblock the process of European integration as soon as possible.
He pointed out that Montenegro is strongly committed to the promotion and improvement of regional cooperation, and that it will continue to affirm the democratic values of modern societies, as well as NATO's open door policy for all candidate countries.
Konjević thanked the Ambassador for the support that Greece provides to the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Montenegro in the field of military education.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence also thanked Greece for participating in the Air Policing mission, adding that Greek and Italian military aircrafts have been protecting the Montenegrin sky since 2018.
Sharing concerns about global peace, the two officials agreed that the war in Ukraine, i.e. the attack on a sovereign European country, is an unprecedented event in the recent history of Europe.
