Krivokapić to students in Banja Luka: The greatest quality is knowledge

Published on: May 25, 2021 2:00 PM Author: Office of the Prime Minister

During the first official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić gave a lecture at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Banja Luka on the topic "Ethics and Politics".

Prime Minister Krivokapić, among other things, told the students that politics should be conducted in an ethical way, and to provide everything that represents quality.

"The greatest quality is knowledge. You can lose everything and many have lost wealth and power and strength throughout history, but the only thing that no one could take away from them is knowledge. Therefore, the main task of politics is to provide a sufficient quality of knowledge, so that through knowledge we can all feel prosperity in all areas, and in medicine, and in engineering, and in legal and political sciences and in philosophy. Because the knowledge is power," said Prime Minister Krivokapić.

The Prime Minister said that politics is separated from ethics, as proven by numerous examples from 30 August until today. "You will see hypocritical policy, the inconsistency, unprincipled behaviour and, as Machiavelli said "The end justifies the means". It is the worst relationship that can happen in political relations. I know we live in a time when interest is dominant. But that interest must respect others. Where is ethics, what happened to it? I think that politicians should be enlightened," said PM Krivokapić.

He also said that the problem in Montenegro is that there is a blockade of the legal system.

"Apart from the captured state, you also have a captured judiciary. Because someone is not satisfied with the party or personal interest, one blocks the whole system. Politics did not happen in Montenegro, the people happened, the original democracy happened. Thanks to that support of the people, this Government lasts. As for politicians, they would like to expel us from Montenegro, but for now it is impossible. Because the people understood that this is the Government of hope for a better future. Can it last? It will last until the end of the mandate. It will be painful, but when the going gets tough, the tough get going. To numerous accusations, our response is silence. Not because we don't know, but because we don't want to make a scene," the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister said that the Government does not want Montenegro to be recognised either by crime or by clans.

"We want Montenegro to be what it has always been, honorable and dignified. We want Montenegro to be a civil, democratic and European state," the Prime Minister said.

PM Krivokapić also emphasised that we should look to the future. "We have suffered enough to argue about anything again. We are fighting for young people to stay in the country," said Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić.
