Plenty of room for strengthening cooperation with India in economy, tourism, and investment

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić received Ambassador of the Republic of India Jaideep Mazumdar on a farewell visit.

During the discussions, it was emphasised that there is significant potential to enhance the traditionally strong friendly relations.

The need for strengthening cooperation in the areas of economy, tourism, and investment was highlighted.

In this context, the cooperation between the two countries under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) was positively assessed.

Ambassador Jaideep emphasised that additional promotion of natural beauty could be achieved through the interest of the Indian film industry, Bollywood, in filming certain movies in Montenegro.

It was assessed that this could significantly increase the number of Indian tourists.

There was expressed a need for strengthening political dialogue.

During the meeting, mutual interest was shown in joint projects in the fields of education, science, and culture, with particular appreciation for India's advancements in technology and science.
