Prime Minister Krivokapić said that the cooperation between the two countries is very good, expressing hopes that the relations between Canada and Montenegro will be further improved during Ambassador Norman's mandate. Krivokapić pointed out that the Government is firmly committed to Montenegro becoming the next EU member.

PM Krivokapić informed the Canadian Ambassador about the situation in the health system of Montenegro, emphasising that the Government, together with allies and partners, is dedicated and responsible in preventing the spread of COVID-19, preserving the health of citizens, and planning a joint socio-economic recovery, as well as in preparing an immunization plan for the upcoming period. The Prime Minister thanked the Government of Canada for the assistance worth 250,000 dollars it provided in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Prime Minister Krivokapić said that the Government of Montenegro was interested in further strengthening economic cooperation, including trade and investments, as well as in connecting businesspersons of the two countries. Krivokapić pointed out that Canadian investments are very important for Montenegro, and that one of the best examples is Porto Montenegro, which contributed to positioning Montenegro as an elite tourist yachting destination and gave a positive example for attracting new investments in the tourism and energy sector.

Both sides agreed that the two countries have excellent cooperation in the field of defence, and that it should be further improved.

Ambassador Norman said that Canada appreciates the Government's commitment to Montenegro's Euro-Atlantic path. Furthermore, he pointed out that the two countries share the same values, such as democracy, transparency, and human rights. The Canadian Ambassador noted that he would like as many Canadian investors as possible to invest in Montenegro.
