PM Krivokapić meets with his Croatian counterpart Plenković
Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić met today with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković, on the sidelines of the Summit of the Heads of Government of the Central European Initiative in Budva.
PM Krivokapić thanked Croatia for coronavirus vaccines it sent to Montenegro, adding that good cooperation with countries in the region is the most important element of the Montenegrin Government's foreign policy. He pointed out that problems are always present, but they are also an opportunity to develop and deepen relations between the countries through their joint solution and constructive dialogue.
The most important thing is that there is trust and good will among us to resolve all issues, Krivokapić said.
Emphasising that the Government of Montenegro is pro-European and formed in the spirit of civic, democratic and environmental principles, Prime Minister Krivokapić briefed Prime Minister Plenković on the reform programmes Europe Now, Montenegro Now, Europe Here and Montenegro Works, as well as the Government's efforts to combat corruption and organised crime.
Krivokapić pointed out that the Government is doing everything in order that Montenegro becomes the first next member of the European Union as soon as possible.
Prime Minister of Croatia Plenković assessed that trade exchange between the two countries should be improved, expressing the need of the Croatian side to make progress in cooperation on all challenges that represent a certain burden on relations between Croatia and Montenegro.
Hoping that cooperation between the two countries, both economically and politically, will deepen and improve, Prime Minister Plenković sincerely wished his counterpart Krivokapić success in the reform and European process.
