Radulović, Reeker: Montenegro and the USA are true friends, partners and allies

On the sidelines of the international conference "PRESPA - Forum for Dialogue", entitled "Western Balkans: The Missing Puzzle for Completing Europe", Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović met with Philip Reeker, Acting Assistant Secretary of European and Eurasian Affairs.

Reeker pointed out that Montenegro and the United States are true friends, partners and allies, which the United States is especially proud of. The United States strongly supports the European agenda of Montenegro, but also of other Western Balkan countries, and their efforts towards full membership and full integration into the EU. He pointed out that the two countries share common values, which are further confirmed through the alliance in NATO. The United States deeply cares about Montenegro, an independent state with its own history, which has always been an example of multiethnic harmony, and will therefore continue to be a reliable partner of Montenegro.

Minister Radulović confirmed that the friendship and alliance between the two countries are the initiator of future cooperation and additional strengthening of ties. Montenegro appreciates US support on its European path. Montenegro remains strongly committed to this partnership, which is further confirmed by joint action within NATO. He pointed out that Montenegro shares the same view with the United States on the future of the Region, especially in the context of further EU integration and strengthening ties with neighbours.

Furthermore, the meeting discussed the strengthening of economic partnership, as well as the upcoming tourist season in Montenegro.
