Renovated Centre for Clinical and Laboratory Diagnostics in KCCG opened

After the opening of the renovated Centre for Clinical and Laboratory Diagnostics within the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović said that emergency patients will receive test results in less than an hour.

The opening of the world-class Centre means that emergency patients will receive all the required tests in less than an hour, which is especially important for hospitalized patients, especially patients in ER, where a quick and reliable diagnostic is sometimes vital, said the Minister of Health.

On the other hand, an expanded range of laboratory tests will be available to outpatients.

The Minister reminded that the renovation and implementation of the project started in November last year, in the midst of the pandemic.

Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro Ljiljana Radulović explained that the laboratory, which, with the renovation and donated equipment is worth three and a half million euros, was initially obtained with an investment of five thousand euros.

We have achieved this by buying reagents from authorised representatives for the next four years, Radulović explained.

Director of the Centre for Clinical and Laboratory Diagnostics Nevena Terzić Stanić stressed that the Centre implies the most modern concept of organising the work process of the laboratory.

Improving the quality of the work process organisation, the quality of service delivery and the validity and accuracy of the final test results, eliminating the influence of the human factor in working with samples reduces the possibility of error, shortens results time, and reduces consumption costs. So, for less money - we will get more and better services, she said.
