Six more officers suspended for organizing criminal group, security risks and other serious offenses

In line with the clearly defined goal and directive that the security sector must be cleansed of all individuals whose actions contradict the law and the interests of the state, another important step has been taken towards establishing a system that will not tolerate compromises with crime, corruption, lifestyles inconsistent with income, or other illegal conduct.

The Minister of the Interior has informed me that, based on a proposal from the Director of the Police Administration, a decision has been issued to suspend six additional police officers due to their involvement in the creation of a criminal organization, posing security threats, and other serious offenses.

However, this is not the end — we have only just scratched the surface.

A state that is serious in its fight against organized crime does not make compromises with those who are entrusted to protect it but instead act against it. Public trust in institutions cannot be built if the system itself does not dare to undergo internal cleansing.

Therefore, I call upon all competent state authorities to continue the activities they have begun with even greater determination. To all honorable police officers, I express my sincere gratitude.

You are the ones who hold the line between law and lawlessness.

You are proof that it is possible to serve the state without fear, and the citizens without personal gain.

Your uniform and the authority you exercise in accordance with the law are a symbol of honor and integrity.

That honor will be protected — because Montenegro will no longer turn a blind eye to anyone who has betrayed the law.
