Prime Minister Milojko Spajić held a meeting with Prime Minister of Luxembourg Luc Frieden, as part of his official visit to the country.During this occasion, a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between Montenegro and Luxembourg was signed, aiming to bring benefits to both countries.

The meeting emphasised Luxembourg's strong support for Montenegro's European integration.

Prime Minister Frieden highlighted the outstanding results achieved since the formation of the 44th Government, demonstrating the commitment of the executive and parliamentary branches to integrate Montenegro into the EU family.

The goal is to present Montenegro's full potential to companies from Luxembourg. Therefore, the signed agreement holds great importance as it facilitates smoother business operations, emphasised Frieden.

There is significant potential for increased investments in sectors such as energy, tourism, and banking.

It was noted that regular economic and investment forums, as well as visits by economic delegations from Montenegro to a country with the highest GDP per capita in the EU, can play a crucial role in this regard.

Cooperation with territorially small and successful countries like Luxembourg can bring numerous benefits to Montenegro, particularly if we leverage your experience in crucial processes, stated Spajić to Frieden.

Prime Minister Spajić expressed satisfaction with the well-integrated and valuable Montenegrin diaspora in Luxembourg, preserving and promoting Montenegrin identity, tradition, and culture in the heart of Europe.

The possibility of reopening a flight route between Luxembourg and Podgorica was also discussed, particularly significant for the diaspora and attracting more tourists from Luxembourg.
