Special hospital in Brezovik receives modern microbiological laboratory
The Special Hospital for Pulmonary Diseases "Dr. Jovan Bulajić" in Brezovik inaugurated a modern microbiological laboratory today, funded by the European Union at a cost of nearly 354,000 euros. The laboratory will greatly improve disease diagnostics and support the hospital staff.
Minister of Health Dragoslav Šćekić thanked the EU for their donation and noted that seven more healthcare centers in Montenegro will receive similar modern laboratories through this project, worth over 2 million euros.
The laboratory's opening enhances healthcare services at the hospital, providing more accurate disease diagnoses, particularly for pulmonary conditions specialized by the hospital.
Minister Šćekić praised the hospital staff for their expertise, emphasizing the institution's role as a prominent center for pulmonary disease diagnosis and therapy in the country and the region.
The Montenegrin government is committed to healthcare projects, having invested over 250,000 euros in the hospital's infrastructure and equipment in the past two years, partly from the budget and partly from donations.
The reconstruction included modern equipment and safety measures, ensuring protection for both employees and patients.
