Students from Montenegro at the regional Western Balkans Cyber Camp

Students from the University of Montenegro took part in the third Western Balkans Cyber Camp, held from 10 to 12 May 2024 in Durres, Albania. The event aimed to bring together students, university representatives, and CIRT teams from the Western Balkans region to enhance the knowledge of young individuals interested in cybersecurity and ICT.

The event aimed to establish a regional network of young cyber experts who will cooperate and contribute to strengthening the cybersecurity of our region in the future. Through the simulation of cyber attacks on the Cyber Drill platform, students had the opportunity to practically apply their knowledge and develop skills to solve cybersecurity challenges.

During the cyber camp, the CIRT representative participated in a panel addressing the current state of cybersecurity in the Western Balkans. The panel provided a comprehensive overview of the existing challenges and potential development opportunities in this domain, offering participants a more profound understanding of the subject matter.

This event was organized by the National Authority on Electronic Certificaton and Cyber Security (AKCESK) from Albania.

Upon the conclusion of the Cyber Camp, all participants received certificates.
