Council for NATO Membership: Montenegro to undertake dynamic activities towards getting membership invitation

At today's meeting, the Council for NATO Membership discussed the activities undertaken within the focused and intensive dialogue. The council also commended the overall cooperation established with the Alliance, with a particular emphasis on encounters with top officials of NATO and its members states, who positively assessed Montenegro's visible progress towards Euro – Atlantic accession.
The officials stressed the efforts of the Communication Team of the Council for NATO Membership and planned activities aimed at continuing the campaign during the summer and early autumn, emphasising that a recent public opinion pools showed an increase in citizens' support for NATO membership.
Further steps related to the fulfillment of the necessary requirements on the eve of the NATO ministerial meeting scheduled for December were also on the meeting's agenda.
The meeting stressed the importance of conducting public dialogue about the benefits of NATO membership in a more intensive and efficient manner.
