Prime Minister and Coordinator of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dritan Abazović participated in the Warsaw Security Forum held in the capital of Poland from 3 to 4 October. Abazović delivered a speech on the panel "Global Challenges, Global Coalitions? How the Collective West Can Build Partnerships in Foreign Policy."

The Prime Minister emphasized that we are currently witnessing an exceptionally significant moment in the context of geopolitical developments, and the need to strengthen joint actions and create global coalitions is becoming increasingly apparent. He stated that Europe must capitalize on the current momentum to enhance collective security because it is evident that no nation can face the numerous challenges before us alone. He also stressed that all democratic nations share the responsibility to collectively address these issues. Abazović stated, "The people of Ukraine are not only defending their rights but also the rights of all democratic nations."

During his presentation, Abazović reminded the audience that Montenegro's foreign policy is fully aligned with the foreign and security policy of the European Union, demonstrating country's commitment to implementing reforms aimed at achieving its primary foreign policy goal of EU accession. In this context, the Prime Minister highlighted that Western Balkan countries expect concrete messages and decisions from the EU regarding the enlargement process. He emphasized the crucial importance of EU partners recognizing the process of enlargement, especially in light of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, to prevent potential third-party influences in the region.

Abazović underscored that only through a shared vision and commitment to common values can we contribute to strengthening bonds and bridges, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasized the significance of international organizations such as the United Nations, NATO, and the EU, as well as the need to strengthen their capacities and potential reforms to advance the international system of cooperation.

The Warsaw Security Forum has been organized by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation since 2014, in strategic partnership with NATO and the National Security Bureau of the President of the Republic of Poland, and under the patronage of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
