Abazović, Kovachevski: Ohrid meetings will strengthen political and economic dialogue in Western Balkans
Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met with Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovachevski on the sidelines of the Open Balkan Summit in Ohrid. The meetings in Ohrid will help the countries of the region to get closer in finding a common language and strengthen political and economic dialogue. We want to hear arguments regarding the Open Balkan and act responsibly, in accordance with the national interests of our country, said PM Abazović.
Prime Minister Abazović emphasised that good neighbourly policy is one of the cornerstones of Montenegrin foreign policy and that is why Montenegro is participating as an observer, striving to add value to reconciliation and improving regional cooperation.
Prime Minister of North Macedonia Kovachevski pointed out that the Open Balkan was not made for politicians, but for citizens and companies of the Western Balkan countries.
The officials agreed that the relations between the two countries can serve as an example of good neighbourly and friendly relations in the Western Balkans, which strives for reconciliation and European integration.
Prime Minister Abazović and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija will also take part in the official opening, in addition to host Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovachevski, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
