Abazović, Maddocks: The security sector has shown a high level of professionalism

The security sector has shown a high level of professionalism and its actions have preserved the peace and stability that certain criminal structures, close to the former government, tried to endanger, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović at a meeting with H. E. Karen Maddocks, British Ambassador to Montenegro.

Talking about the current situation in the country, DPM Abazović welcomed the contribution of respected international partners, such as the United Kingdom, in calming tensions and encouraging dialogue, as the only solution to overcome all the challenges facing Montenegro.

British Ambassador Karen Maddocks pointed out that they watched the past events with concern and that they actively called for peace and dialogue. The Ambassador said that the police were called to solve a very difficult situation. What is important now is to move forward and establish an inclusive and constructive political dialogue, as the only way to resolve all future open issues, said Ambassador Maddocks.
