Abazović meets Ambassador of Canada to Montenegro

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met Giles Norman, non-resident Ambassador of Canada to Montenegro.

Abazović and Norman stated that the two countries are allies and partners.

Prime Minister Abazović said that Montenegro is open to Canadian investments, noting that gross foreign direct investments in our country in 2022 amounted to 1.15 billion euros.

The meeting stressed that the two countries have excellent defence cooperation and noted that Montenegro and Canada, despite the geographic distance and difference in size, have a lot in common.

Norman stressed that Canada highly appreciates Montenegro's stance towards the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The two officials also discussed modalities for improving economic cooperation and greater visibility of Montenegro among investors from Canada.
